Rooms of the week...

This is the first of a weekly series, highlighting the standout rooms I find as I troll the net. First are a couple of hallway treatments. Halls are typically the red-headed stepchild of decorating, but they can be dramatic and glamourous with a little effort.

How fabulous is this! Black horizontal stripes on the walls, black and white striped rug, turquoise chandelier with black and white striped lampshades. Perfect!
(Country Living)

A much simpler hallway approach. I love the mannequin!

Check out the scale of this room's design elements. Extra large lantern, large accessories on top of the armoire, small table accessories.
(House Beautiful)

Love the use of vintage suitcases to store toys in a child's bedroom. (Also love the feedsack bedding.)
(Country Living)

Several elements I love: the classic skirted dressing table, the collection of white mirrors, cushy ottoman.

This British colonial style is right up my alley. Note the different lampshades used throughout and the decidedly non-matchy-matchy chairs.

Adore the flags and nautical pillow.

Very cosy living room. Note the art above the windows.

For happy homemakers...

...I just finished unpacking and putting out 50 new aprons in 20 styles (some old favorites, some brand new.) If you're in need of an apron...or 3 or 4...you know where to come!

As we dig out of our record snowfall...

...it's supposed to get up into the 60's this weekend, just in time for Valentine's Day!

We have tons of new merchandise in, so come in and find just the right thing for your Valentine(s). Yes, we'll actually be open this weekend for the first time in a few weeks. (Note to universe: we've had enough snow. Please.)

Luxury soaps are always a nice Valentine's gift.

So is jewelry! We have many new bracelets, necklaces and earrings.

Lots of new bird-related items.

Beautiful framed 3-D Paris prints.

Black and white wall art, including New York subway and Paris metro banners.

A funky selection of heads and hands.

New horses on canvas. Beautiful!

And a new selection of cows.

And a retro selection of owl prints, plates and bowls.

This would be the perfect time to visit Eureka Springs. Many hotels and restaurants are reopening this weekend, there will be lots of live music, and of course shopping, shopping, shopping. Come on over!
